The project started as a weekend project to learn a new technology and try something new. It has now evolved into a full-fledged resource that has grown significantly thanks to its contributions to the community in some way.

How are rankings calculated?

LocalAlternative uses a custom algorithm to calculate the health score of each local AI project, which determines its ranking. The score is based on several factors including GitHub metrics, community engagement, and user feedback.
